Rivertown and Rhinegeist Breweries

This past weekend I had the pleasure of visiting with my sister and brother-in-law in Cincinnati, Ohio. While there we visited two breweries. The first of our two stops Saturday afternoon was Rivertown Brewery. Arriving in time for the 3 p.m. tour which only costs $5 and includes the tour, a beer, as well as a pint glass. The tour lasted about a half hour concluding for me with a pint of Hop Baron and a flight of six samples. Would totally go back again, if nothing else for a chance to pick up two bottles each of their limited release beers. Here are some pictures.

Next it was on to Rhinegeist Brewery which is located in Over the Rhine. According to its website “Rhinegeist is a brewery built within the skeleton of the old Moerlein bottling plant (built in 1895)”. There is an open floor plan with a stage for musicians, picnic tables for people to sit and eat, as well as ping-pong tables and corn hole. They also have a smaller bar situated over near the stage if one does not want to venture up to the main bar.

I should mention that bother breweries fill outside growlers at no more cost to the customer. Now for the photographs.

Again, I look forward to visiting these breweries again, as well as the many other breweries that Cincinnati has to offer. Until next time!
