Toledo Area Metroparks Blue Creek Conservation Area
Today I ventured out to site of the Toledo Workhouse thanks to google maps, my Garmin GPS was useless. As I approached the site I could see the tall chimney stack reaching for the clouds. The now abandoned building s part of the Toledo Area Metroparks Blue Creek Conservation Area. I photographed a pond in the area, as well as discovered that a place called Natures Nursery sits on the edge of the old Toledo Workhouse. Tomorrow or Friday I am going to attempt to contact the person in charge of the Toledo Area Metroparks Blue Creek Conservation Area.

I remember the “Toledo Workhouse” , when it was a functioning establishment, with inmates and guards. The inmates worked the fields, with horses and such. Mostly drunks, and petty thieves.
I guess it would have beat sitting around a cell most of the day.
